Chosen as a Mentor to Julia Hutt (@joolsannie) in the Visual Arts Nova Scotia Mentorship Program 2024/25, the season resulted in a group exhibition titled “Mented” at the Craig Gallery in Dartmouth, NS in the month of July. My mentee, Jools, has been painting intimate scenes of early motherhood, accordingly I contributed work representing the other end of the experience – late motherhood, as my child becomes adult.

This latest work is a single addendum to the series of 5 assemblages created forThis Body of Work: rendering, reassembling, and performing motherworlds, which were my contributions to the sense archive collaboration with Ruth Douthwright and Sally Morgan in 2023.
