Symphony of Nests Finale
As facilitator for the Nocturne NOISEmakers program in 2024, I was included in the final performance project, titled “Symphony of Nests”. This work was created over the summer of 2024 and performed collaboratively each hour over the course of the October 19th evening by seven artist newcomers to Halifax.
This celebration of migration and belonging used the universal language of storytelling to explore avian themes of homelands and histories. The 2024 NOISEmakers tales take flight in an immersive installation experience including multilingual performances, projection, costuming and live audio in the Alderney Landing Theatre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Meng Gao, Ilyes Chibane, Diego Guerrero Betancourt, Lara Sturzenbaum, Alicia Guo, Sergei Tsimbalenko, and Taba Dani were the participant collaborators and Shreya Talwar assisted with facilitation as a previous participant.
